This year, we are celebrating both 10 years of Balettakademien Stockholm’s work with dance health and we are highlighting International Parkinson's Day, a milestone that celebrates the power of dance in promoting health, movement, and community.
Welcome to an inspiring and festive day with lectures, workshops, and performances!
Per Svenningsson, professor of neurology and research group leader at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, will give a lecture together with Lisa Hainke, research nurse at the Center for Neurology, Karolinska Hospital.
Gunnar Bjursell, emeritus professor and leader of The Cultural Brain at Karolinska Institutet, will also participate, along with Parkinson Stockholm, who will talk about their activities.
During the day, one of our Dance for Parkinson's groups will perform, and Åsa N. Åström, developer of BA Dance Health, will hold a dance workshop!
